So this week has been pretty hectic seeing as we get the students in a week. I'm super excited!!!!!!!!! my curriculum is done I'm ready to take these students on. This week I moved into the dorm and got to know the other staff (picture on the right). We've been working hard cleaning dorms planning meals sharing class ideas and learning the rules and regulations. Its going to be a crazy summer we have to be up by six and there are a ton of things to do everyday. I've been warned by staff who have done this before that it is a lot of work and that I'm going to be really tired but I love challenges I'm excited! (probably super obvious by the amount of exclamation points I've used in just one post. Anyways ill let you guys know how my first week of actually teaching goes next week. Bye!
That sounds so exciting! I remember during my first day of teaching for Step 1/2 I was so nervous about how my class was going to be. I only needed to teach three times, I can imagine how you must be feeling! It's great to see that you have a passion for what you're doing. Good luck with your first week!
ReplyDeleteNice to see that you are not doing this all alone. The summer camp will be challenging but at least you have peers to support you. Like Keith I also had to teach last semester and I was personally a bit nervous the first time but everything came together went rather well. Best of luck on the first day!
